Memories are more than just an image —with the FotoSpot-C, know when and exactly where your most cherished events took place. The FotoSpot-C will enable your select NIKON cameras to be a GPS enabled camera.  The FotoSpot-C instantly transmits the exact location and direction information via a cable to your camera, which then “geotags” each picture .The “Geo-Tagged” pictures can then be viewed as “thumb-nail” images on popular mapping platforms like GoogleMaps.  FotoSpot-C works seamlessly with Eka’s free MySnapMap software, which will allow you to further enhance the“Geo-Tagged” pictures by imprinting location information and sharing them on popular photo sharing site such as Picasa.     

FotoSpot-C is easy to use and recharges through a standard USB port or by using the provided wall charger. Specific cable to support NIKON cameras is included on most of the FotoSpot-B models.

FotoSpot-C100 has two models FotoSpot-C101 and FotoSpot-C102 which work with select Nikon cameras.

FS-C101 : This model is compatible with cameras like Nikon D90, D3100,D5000, D5100 and D7000.

FS-C102 : This model is compatible with cameras like Nikon D200,D300, D300s, D700, D2X, D2Xs, D2Hs, D3, D3X and D3s

Geo-tagging pictures involves storing the latitude/longitude and/or directional information within the header (also known as EXIF) of the image file. The process of geo-tagging can be done in real-time inside the camera using the FotoSpot-C100. In some cases, the geo-tagging process has to be performed off-line in a PC with the help of custom software.  

FotoSpot-C100 allows you to geo-tag your pictures in real time using a hard wired cable. The FotoSpot-C100 transmits the latitude/longitude information to the camera in NMEA format. Select Nikon cameras Geo-tag pictures on the camera with this information.

The user can then transfer the geo-tagged photos to the PC and view them on a map like Google Earth. FotoSpot works seamlessly with softwares such as GPSPhotoLink, WindImage, FoxView, Geo Fotos Mapper and MySnapMap to organize, edit and map photos.

Does FotoSpot-C100 work with any Digital Camera?
No. The FotoSpot-C100 works only with select NIKON cameras that have GPS support.

No. The FotoSpot-C100 is self powered and can be charged using an USB.

What if my cable is not working or I don’t have a cable?
You can geo-tag pictures offline on a PC. For this you will have to make sure that the time on the camera and time on the FotoSpot unit are synchronized.
